fluIT Biosystems GmbH uses its proprietary ASFS technology (Accurate Stochastic Fluorescence Spectroscopy) for the highly sensitive determination of biomolecules and the investigation of their interactions with other reaction partners.
Our special ASFS algorithms more efficiently differentiate single molecule events from background fluorescence and scattered light than other fluorescence based methods e.g. FCS (fluorescence correlation spectroscopy) or PCH (photon counting histogram) analysis.
A set of molecule specific parameters are derived from the single molecule measurements and thus different molecular species can be distinguished and quantified. This enables the user to determine the kinetics of antibody/antigen interactions or the binding of transcription factors to DNA with only little amount of work.
Our analysis systems bring together the advantages of confocal single molecule spectroscopy (unique signal-to-noise ratio) and microsystems technology (short reaction times, small sample volumes).
The fluIT technology is broadly applicable to almost all assay formats based on fluorescent labeling. Measurements are carried out in solution and under biologically relevant conditions, circumventing potential artifacts and pitfalls associated with methods for the surface-based interaction analysis.
Applications include:
- highly sensitive Antibody determination
- antibody-antigen interaction analysis (Kd values)
- interaction analysis of Proteins and Peptides
- Analysis of DNA-Protein binding (transkription factor analysis)
- highly sensitive virus and bacteria determination
